About

One company, three services, and a single way of working

Ombreza takes on operational work that businesses need done properly but would rather not build a department around. What follows is how that works and why it is set up this way.

What Ombreza does

Ombreza is an operating company. We move freight, we find and screen offshore talent, and we design and build websites. Those are three separate disciplines with three separate sets of clients, and each one is run to stand on its own.

They sit under one company for a practical reason rather than a conceptual one. All three are work that businesses need done well, need someone to own, and rarely have enough of to justify hiring for permanently. A distributor does not need a full logistics department to ship four loads a week. A twelve-person company does not need an in-house recruiter. Almost nobody needs a full-time developer to build one website.

What each of those situations does need is a capable outside party who treats the outcome as theirs. That is the part we are actually selling, and it is the same in all three services.

The model

Small enough that the operator is the contact

In most supplier relationships there is a layer between you and the person doing the work. You explain the problem to someone who then relays it, and detail gets lost in both directions. Ombreza is deliberately structured so that does not happen: the person who scopes your work is the person accountable for delivering it.

  • One contact who can actually answer, not relay
  • Decisions made without a chain of approvals
  • Nothing lost in translation between you and the work
  • The same relationship whichever service you use

How the services connect

Independent by default, useful together when it happens

Each service is bought separately and judged separately. Nobody is asked to take one in order to get another, and we would rather you started with the single thing that is genuinely causing you trouble than signed up for a bundle you did not need.

The connection shows up later, and it is mostly about context. Once we understand how a business runs, the second brief takes a fraction of the time the first one did. A client who ships with us and then needs an offshore coordinator does not start from nothing, because we already know the operation that person would be coordinating. A company whose new site starts producing more enquiries than the team can handle has somewhere obvious to turn.

That is a genuine advantage but a modest one, and we would rather describe it accurately than dress it up as a strategy. You can read about each service in detail on the transportation, reverse hiring and web design and development pages.

How we work

Four commitments that apply to every engagement

These are operating rules rather than sentiments. Each one describes something we actually do or refuse to do.

  • Say the difficult thing early

If a timeline is unrealistic, a lane is tight or a brief will not attract the person you want, you hear it during scoping. A problem raised at the start is a conversation. The same problem raised late is a failure.

  • Only promise what we control

We commit to the things that are genuinely ours to deliver and we are clear about the things that are not. That is why you will not find a guaranteed search ranking or a promised delivery hour anywhere on this site.

  • Report before you have to ask

Chasing a supplier for a status update is time you should not have to spend. We send information at the points where it changes what you would do next.

  • Decline work we should not take

Taking on something we cannot do properly costs more than the revenue is worth. If a request is outside what we can deliver well, we will say so and point you somewhere better where we can.

Where we stand

A young company, and straightforward about it

Ombreza is early in its life. We are not going to put invented client logos, borrowed testimonials or impressive-sounding numbers on this site to suggest otherwise.

The honest position is this. What we can be judged on right now is how we scope work, how clearly we communicate, whether we do what we said we would do, and the quality of what we hand over. Those are the things within our control, and they are the things this site describes.

There is a real advantage in working with a company at this stage. Your work is not one account among hundreds, it does not get assigned to whoever is free, and the person you speak to has the authority to make decisions about it. That will not always be true as the business grows, which is a good reason to take advantage of it now.

If you want to test that, the simplest way is to send us something small and see how it is handled.

Start with something small

A single load, one role, or a site that needs looking at. The easiest way to judge how we work is to give us something real and see what comes back.
